What is my most cost efficient way to get from Madrid to Amsterdam?

I'm traveling to Amsterdam from Madrid as part of a European Vacation... Train? Plane? Rent a car? I don't even know how far it is! Help me please!

With a little digging around his site you should have no problem figuring out the best way to make your trip.
3. Easiest , shortest and cheapest way is by aircraft. Check www.vueling.com, that's the cheapest one. If you want to see more of Europe, on your way from Madrid to Amsterdam, visit Barcelona (Spain), go to Nice, Paris (both France), Brussels, Antwerp (Belgium) and end up in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). You can take high speed trains inbetween towns. All is in Euro. Have a nice trip.
