Where in Madrid can you buy reasonably priced original paintings from local artists?

Hi. I will be in Madrid for 1 day on Sunday, April 26. I am interested in buying original paintings. Any good places or flea markets? Thanks.

1. Although not being too familiar with Madrid I'd say that you'll have no trouble in finding paintings by local artists. In these recessionary times they'll all be desperate to sell anything. There's a small park area in front of El Prado where I think there's some sort of "railing" show some days, and in some of the squares in the old town you'll find a few things. Best to get a good guidebook and do a bit of research. PS. I've just put "local artists Madrid" into a search and there's some useful info there.
