Where to stay in Sierra Nevada?

I'm thinking of skiing in Sierra Nevada at new year with the family, does anyone have any recommendations for a good hotel that's near the lifts or convenient for ski school for young kids with some experience? Thanks guys!

1. Well I live in Reno and a good hotel for kids as well. Circus Circus, The Nugget, Or the Peppermill. All have a kids section and THEY ARE HUGE!!! Arcade and everything. And for you adults since Nevada is the casino capital of the world you got you'r casino. ALL CLOSE TO SKI RESORTS and close to school [skiing] But if your looking cheap.....Lake tahoe or Truckee. Have fun
