What do you think about Sierra Nevada beer?

Ale, wheat, summertime brew and winter brew. Which of these have you tried and your thoughts? Is there a beer that you could compare to any of them? Just tryed a SN Pale Ale. It was pretty damn good.

  1. All of the above. Great brews for certain occasions. If you want something with an extra kick (11% abv) try the Bigfoot ale. Summerfest is pretty good, but an ice cold Pale Ale is my favorite SN brew.
  2. Pale Ale is the best. Sierra Nevada is a great beer. A California original.
  3. I'm not going to go as far as calling is a great beer. I've been collecting and consuming GREAT beers fro years. I will tell you that it is surprisingly drinkable. I;I've had all but the winter brew and I've enjoyed them. If you offered my wheat or a saison dupont... I'd definitely take the dupont. If you offered me ANYTHING Sierra Nevada brews or a bud product... I'd take the SN without a second thought.
  4. Great beer, made right here in California, Chico, to be exact. the Pale Ale is my fav. but the others are great too. Still the best is Corona for me.
  5. Of the two widely distributed pale ales available here (the other being Sam Adams) I'll take Sierra Nevada every time. Fortunately I live in California and have a multitude of good beer at my fingertips. Bottoms up!
  6. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is great! It's really good with Pasta ( in my opinion).
  7. Not big on the Pale Ale but they made good Brown Ale, similar to Newcastle
  8. I have only tried the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, as others have also stated. I found it to have a nice, crisp taste, and went well with my steak dinner. The funny thing is, I also tried to taste the Summertime Brew, but because it was Winter, the bartender refused to give me any, and told me if I asked him again, he was going to call the bouncer to pummel me until I could not tell the difference between the Summer Ale and the Winter Ale, which they had on tap. I then asked one more time for the Summertime Ale, and the next thing I remember from that night was a bunch of Leprechauns dancing in circles around a pot of gold, chanting "DIE, DIE, DIE!" Odd...
