How hikable are the Sierra Nevada trails in late October? I'm planning a hiking trip in Sierra Nevada, especially along Tioga Pass Road in Yosemite National Park and Eastern Sierra along US.395. The trial guide says they are hikable through September. However, if there's no snow, is there any other issues preventing a comfortable hike? They will all be day hikes as the night time temparature can be very low. A few of the trails I'm considering are Mono Pass, Cathedral Lakes, and Little Lakes Valley.
