What is my David Alvarez carving worth? I own a large Wood carving of a Rabbit that is hand signed by David Alvarez of New Mexico that I purchased about 12 years ago in Madrid, New Mexico. Does anyone know what it is worth today?
Why does it snow in New York in the winter and in Madrid it doesn't even though they are on the same latitude? I don't understand that. Madrid is located just as far south as New York is, but in New York it gets extremely cold in the winter. Why is that? And why is the ocean in California so cold even though California is relatively far to the South. Are there icy streams coming down from Alaska that make the water that cold? It all of a sudden dramatically heats up a 200 miles into Mexico. I don't really understand these drastic differences. Why is that? Can somebody explain that to me?
Is Bush oblivious to what Vicente Fox laid down in Madrid in 2002 as the long-term strategy of Mexico? Said Fox, "Eventually, our long-range objective is to establish with the United States ... an ensemble of connections and institutions similar to those created by the European Union, with the goal of attending to future themes as important as ... the freedom of movement of capital, goods, services and persons. The new framework we wish to construct is inspired in the example of the European Union." http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=22261
What is the leading (and most commonly read) newspaper of Mexico City?/? Could someone give me a hand and tell me the name of the leading newspaper in La Ciudad de México (I am looking for the Mexican capital’s equivalent to New York’s The New York Times, or Chicago’s Chicago Tribune). Why do American politicians say they want hispanics to assimilate and then run campaigns in Spanish? I was born in the United States and my family has a very extensive history in the southwest, since it was New Spain. We speak both Spanish and English in my family, we vote, we pay taxes, we buy cars and houses, invest in the market, and we cling to our latino roots and culture as it's being ripped from our hands. People like Sen. Cornyn say things like, we must avoid the balkinization of America, and "THEY" must assimilate to our "ANGLO" culture... Being from Texas, he should realize that anglo culture is an illegal import. He tells us we all need to speak English, and yet on his website he has a Spanish translation for his page. What is so threatening about my culture to American men and women. You can't go to Arizona or New Mexico, or California, Texas, Colorado, Florida, or Nevada and expect it to be like New England. It's called New Mexico for a reason, and you won't find a New London here in NM, but rather Madrid, Española, Las Cruces, Cuba etc... What do you think?
What new Qantas Destinations do you want? I was reading on wikipedia, a side note on QF's future fleet - the boeing 787: ' flying Domestic, Oceania, Asia, Americas, Middle East, deliveries starting 2014–2015' QF doesnt currently have destinations in the middle east. Could this be the start of a Sydney-Dubai-Heathrow/Frankfurt route? also note they dont say Europe with the 787's so that probably wont come into action. But this gave me the idea: what destinations would you like QF to fly? or routes? I would like: New destinations: Dubai Abu Dhabi Taipei Vancouver Las Vegas Chicago Miami Mexico City Cairo St. Maarten (search it on youtube, you will see why) New Destinations served by Qantas European-CitiHopper Madrid Barcelona Paris Marseille Rome(Fiumicino) Manchester Athens Vienna
Why can't we be like Europe, that throws their doors open to immigration from countries poorer than Mexico? MADRID, May 1 — Four Western European countries threw their doors open today to workers from the east and four others eased restrictions as the European Union entered a new phase in integrating its newest members. Spain, whose economy is the largest of the four and a former exporter of workers, is now hungry for immigrants to sustain its growing economy. Its decision to lift the restrictions takes the 25-member bloc a step closer to fully integrating the generally poorer countries from Eastern and Central Europe that were admitted two years ago. Portugal, Greece and Finland also lifted restrictions on workers from the 10 new European Union members today, while France, Italy, Belgium and Luxembourg softened them. The restrictions were imposed in May 2004 by 12 of the E.U.'s 15 members prior to expansion. The other three — Britain, Ireland and Sweden — decided from the start to let workers from the new members in.
Do you believe this ? Mexico's foreign secretary said today the country may take a dispute over U.S.? Has Mexico no shame or morals ?Mexico's foreign secretary said today the country may take a dispute over U.S. plans to build a fence on the Mexican border to the United Nations. Luis Ernesto Derbez told reporters in Paris, his first stop on a European tour, that a legal investigation was under way to determine whether Mexico has a case. The Mexican government last week sent a diplomatic note to Washington criticizing the plan for 700 miles of new fencing along the border. President-elect Felipe Calderon also denounced the plan, but said it was a bilateral issue that should not be put before the international community. Derbez said today after meeting with French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy that it was a "shame" U.S. immigration policy had been used for what he claimed was a short-term political gain in the lead-up to midterm elections in the U.S. in November. He said he discussed the issue with Douste-Blazy, and planned to bring it up in meetings with his Spanish and Italian counterparts during visits to Madrid and Rome. work on the case until the very last day of President Vicente Fox s term, which ends Dec. 1. The U.S. Senate approved the border fence bill last month and President Bush has said he will sign it into law - despite last-minute pleas from the Mexican government for a veto. "What should be constructed is a bridge in relations between the two countries," Derbez said. I'd feel wonderful if Mexico or Canada put up a fence, where do I seen my $$ to?

Why are Hispanics saying the Hispanic vote helped him win the election they now want amnesty for their vote? Latino representatives say that this will benefit millions of undocumented workers in the U.S. They emphasize that the North American leader owes the Hispanic voters for helping him win the election. Madrid… Hispanic representatives affirmed that the Hispanic community in the U.S. trusts that the government of Barack Obama will succeed in passing an immigration reform bill that will benefit millions of undocumented workers. Three functionaries from the U.S. participated in a forum: “The growing political participation of Hispanics in the U.S.” At the meeting, put on by “Casa de America” in Madrid, Spain, Texas congressman R. Alonzo expounded that “Obama owes us for the Hispanic vote that helped him win the election.” “Obama promised us this in the campaign but says that now we are in health reform, but immigration reform is next. We believe it is necessary for him to give this opportunity to millions of workers.” Alonzo said that there was no problem in getting enough Democrat votes in both chambers; only Obama’s desire, the contents of the reform and the negotiations matter. We are confident because he is the first president who since the campaign has talked about passing this reform; and after becoming president has talked openly about it. The Hispanic lobby is very strong because there are representatives and senators with many Hispanic votes in their states. Alonzo recalled that the Hispanics gave Obama the victory in key states such as Indiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, California and others. He explained that Hispanics backed Obama because Bush backed down on his immigration reform plan after the demonstrations. He added that Bush abandoned our community, but many recalled that in the demonstrations the cry was, “Today we march, tomorrow we vote!”

Wants to know a life changing story? A prince of a small pacific island country had too much too eat, too much to drink and too much of any materialistic enjoyment in his life. One day, he went to a religious forum and was greatly enlightened by the speech of that high religious figure. He went home and stayed inside his room for 3 days and 3 nights thinking. On the 4th day, he came out of the room and went straight to his father and mother. He gave farewell to them for a long journey. He told his parents that, "I have had much to eat and much to drink. And, I have had everything that I need and I want. I should not allow myself to soak in such wasteful and luxury life. I need a change for my life. I have become a grown adult. It is time for me to go out to explore what is out there and to experience the hardship and difficulties of life." Next day, With sobbing and tears, the king and the queen saw him sailed away. In his journey, he stopped at Pyongyang, Seoul, Tokyo, beijing, Shanghai, Hanoi, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Canberra, Jarkata, New Delhi, Colombo, Islamabad, Tehran, Riyadh, Cairo, Ankara, Athens, Rome, Paris, Madrid,Lisbon, London, ottawa, Washington D.C, New York, Tallahassee, Mexico city,Brasilia, Caracas, Panama city, Sacramento and finally, after years, he came home. All the citizens of the country came gathering at the port waving flags to welcome him home. Marching band, parade and fireworks all went on at the same time to celebrate his return. Cameras, paparazzi and news reporters were closing in on him to ask questions and to hear his venturous story. "Your highness and honorable prince, please tell us, where have you been for so many years?" asked one. The prince said, "Well, I have been to, Pyongyang, Seoul, Tokyo, beijing, Shanghai, Hanoi, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Canberra, Jarkata, New Delhi, Colombo, Islamabad, Tehran, Riyadh, Cairo, Ankara, Athens, Rome, Paris, Madrid,Lisbon, London, ottawa, Washington D.C, New York, Tallahassee, Mexico city,Brasilia, Caracas, Panama city and Sacramento." Another one said, "Wow, that must have been a tremendously great and wonderful experience. What have you done and gained?" The prince was really proud and happy of what he has done but he was a person of great modesty. So, he answered humbly, "Nothing, just f_cking around."

Which country deserves the 2016 Olympics out of the list? Asia: Tokyo, Japan. Europe: Madrid, Spain; Prague, Czech Republic; Istambul, Turkey; Rome, Italy. North America: Chicago, USA; Canada Latin America: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Monterrey, México, La Habana, Cuba; Buenos Aires, Argentina Oceania: Australia; New Zeland Africa:Nairobi, Kenya; Cape Town, South Africa. I personally think Europe, Asia, and North America shouldn't be host because Europe is already hosting the 2012 and 2014 Olympics, Asia is hosting the 2008 Olympics, the USA has already been a lot of times host and Canada is already host of the 2010 Olympics. It is unfair not to let Latin American nor African countries to host because this 2 regions combined have only hosted 1 Olympic Game (Mexico City, 1968) I know Africa may not have enough money to organize the Olympics but at least they (The IOC) should them.

Guesses for 2020, 2024 and 2028 olympics? My hometown, Brisbane, is bidding for 2024 or 2028 but I think our chances are low.. The following cities I would imagine would get the olympics before we get the chance: Melbourne, Rome, Paris, Cape Town, Tokyo, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Singapore, Lima, Nairobi, Manchester, Frankfurt, Madrid etc.... then we get into the whole swing of Athens, Montreal, LA, Soeul, Mexico City who would be wanting it too! Yes Bert it would be nice for OZ to have 2028. Brisbane SHOULD have the orbital freeway done by then, I pray. But considering the horrid Federal Gov have ruined our financial situation, not gonna happen =( IMHO I can really see a Paris 2024... no idea why, it just makes sense to me lol.
Is there anyone with Asperger's Syndrome from a primate city? Last night, I lost one of my Aspie friends from New Zealand because I asked her this question. She thought I suggested she was from a city full of apes and monkeys. That isn't even in the same ballpark as what I meant. I wanted to know if she was from Auckland. A primate city is the largest city in the country. It's the political, economic, cultural, and commercial hearth. It has a very large core with a small periphery, and it's at least twice the size of the next largest city. Examples of primate cites are New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Moscow, Tokyo, Mumbai, Buenos Aires, Seoul, Mexico City, Cairo, Santiago, Athens, Jerusalem, and Warsaw. I would have explained this to her if she'd given me a chance. Sydney, Madrid, and Toronto are not primate cities because they aren't twice the size of Melbourne, Barcelona, and Montreal. One of my contacts suggested that I make five new friends to make up for her loss. I also have Asperger's Syndrome, and my specialty is geography. My hometown Houston is not a primate city because it isn't twice the size of Dallas. Meanwhile Los Angeles is the primate city of California. So now that everyone reading this knows what a primate city is, do any of you have Asperger's? If you're from the primate city of your state or province, I'll accept that. If you don't believe me, read this article on Wikipedia, and it will tell you the exact same thing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primate_city I hope if anyone fits this criteria, we can connect with each other. I am a really easy-going guy. And for those of you from primate cities, I'm sure the only monkeys, apes, baboons, gorillas, binobos and other primates in your areas are in the local zoos.

If your son decided to play for your team's rival, who would you go for? I know there's some people in here who are young and a few older who have a son or daughter. My question is somewhat like in my case, my son was born here in U.S (I named him Raul after Raul from Real Madrid and one of the coolest things we will ever have, I was born on a Dec. 31st and he was born on Jan. 1st, so the party will keep going for 2 days at home, plus the celebration of New Year. So I was a New Year's Eve Baby and he was a New Year's Baby, ain't that cool?). Anyways, I've been a fan of Mexico since my young age, and I want my son to become a footballer, the question is "If your son decides to play for your National Team's rival, who would back when they play against eachother?" Would you back the National Team of your love? But at the same time, you'd have to realize it would be very difficult to go against the team your son plays for or anything in your son's case. It could also be a case of America VS. Chivas if your and Americanista and your son plays for Chivas or likewise for Chivistas. What would you do, or who would you back on this? Me in my case, I'll go for my National Team forever, wether my son would ever play for U.S or not. That would be the only time I would want my son to lose. Some of my family finds that wrong. My wife does too. But it's a case of Love for your National Team. If it ever happens, they would just have to get over it. I'd never go against Mexico in anything. I know this is just imaginary right now to some of you, but I'm sure 9 out of 10 people on here are going to have children, and eventually you'll realize on this and think about it thoroughly. But just in a thought, what would you do? Peace.
If you had to pick ONE of these bizarre foods to eat, what would it be? 1. Durian Location - Pinang, Malaysia An extremely odoriferous (some would say noxious) fruit with custard-like flesh. Native to Malaysia, the oblong, thorny fruit can be deep fried, formed into cake and candy, or made into flavorings for ice cream, beverages, and other food items. Durian is considered a delicacy in some parts of Malaysia, and has been known to sell for $50 (U.S.) for one fruit. Many people love the taste of durian, but its powerful aroma is so offensive to some that airplanes, trains, and buses often prohibit the fruit in passenger areas. 2. K'lia Location - Marrakech, Morocco Also spelled khlea, this meat (usually lamb) is salted, dried, and preserved in its own fat. A traditional specialty of Morocco, k'lia is often served with lentils and spices at the outdoor market, Djemma al Fna in Marrakech, Morocco. 3. Mangrove Worms Location - Palawan, Philippines Worms that live off dead wood pulp. Eaten raw. Popular in Sabang Beach in the Philippines, these long, slimy worms are said to be high in iron and taste similar to oysters. 4. Callos Location - Taberna de Antonio Sanchez in Madrid, Spain A casserole made with blood sausage and tripe, which comes from the intestines of various domestic animals. This dish is popular in Taberna de Antonio Sanchez in Madrid, Spain, where it is often served as tapas, small dishes designed for sharing. 5. Coconut Grubs Location - Coca, Ecuador Larvae that live in dead palm trees. Zimmern tried the dish in the home of a member of the Pilche community in the Amazon rain forest. 6. Menudo Location - Motes de la Magdalena in Quito, Ecuador Soup made with tripe and beef hearts. This soup is also popular in Mexico, where it began as a peasant dish. Menudo in Mexico can refer to "raw stomach meat" as well as the stew. The recipe for menudo varies in different regions of Latin America. 7. Goose Intestines on Bean Sprouts - Goose guts. Location - New York's Chinatown Served at Congee, a restaurant in New York City's Chinatown. Goose intestines are not uncommon fare in China, but then again, neither are duck feet or frogs. 8. Nutria in Sauce Piquant - a large semiaquatic rodent. Location - Morgan City, Louisiana Eaten in the home of a trapper in the bayou in Morgan City, Louisiana. Dining on nutria is not for the faint of heart. The rodents resemble large rats with bright orange incisors. Still, the nutria is probably safer on your plate than alive in your yard—the animals are a host for a nematode parasite that can infect human skin. Yummy! 9. Soup No. 5 (Yes, that's the real name) Location - Balaw Balaw in Luzon, Philippines Soup made from the back and testicles of a bull is eaten at Balaw Balaw in Luzon, Philippines. In the United States, bull testicles are also sometimes referred to as "Rocky Mountain oysters" and can be prepared in a batter and then fried in oil and eaten with hot sauce. 10. Haggis - Assorted sheep parts mixed with oatmeal and stuffed into a sheep stomach. Location - Edinburgh, Scotland This traditional Scottish dish was originally a common peasant meal, but can now be found in grocery stores year round all over Scotland and other areas of the United Kingdom. http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/Features/Lists/?article=MostBizarreFoods Durian for me.
Is honesty the best policy in this case? My wife and I have been fighting a lot. She has a bad temper and gets upset quickly which makes doing things together very difficult especially if they are difficult or new. I have a 10 day business trip coming up at the end of the month to Paris, Milan, Madrid and London. She has never been abroad(with the exception of Mexico and Canada) and only speaks English. She is going to want to know why I am not taking her and the honest answer is that she has become quite a b**** lately which doesn't compell me to take her around translating etc., etc. Whats sure is that Im not taking her so, should I be honest or should I lie?

Should I study abroad in Madrid or in Mexico City? For my junior year of college; I have to start planning now. I'm a journalism major with a planned Spanish minor who also speaks French. Mexico City is slightly cheaper but my financial aid covers almost everything either way. So, which would be more fun?

Chivas considering not letting Mexico use players for there youth teams? after losing one of Mexico's top prospect to A.Madrid Chivas have gone on record that they are thinking about no longer letting Mexico use there youth Player because they are afraid of losing there players to Europe for free since youth players are not under a legel contract for me this is the biggest BS ever if this is true shame on Chivas denying young players the chance to live there dream your thoughts?
Visiting Mexico - Requirements? I am going on holiday on the 1st of June for two weeks, to Aguascalientes, Mexico. I am native English, holding a British Passport (which is valid for a further 3 years) - I am currenly living in Spain. I will be travelling from Malaga to Madrid, then Madrid to Mexico Federal District and then on to my destination, Aguascalientes. Above having my Passport and my plane ticket, what other requirements must I fulfill in order to enter Mexico and arrive at my destination, legally and without hinderance. Also, if anyone has any tips, I'd be happy to hear them!
Which team will be pressured more to win? Mexico or USA? Barcelona or Real Madrid? Mexico is coming off of a 5-0 Away victory. They must win all of their WCQs to have a chance to go to the WC '10. They will be playing at home, with a vicious media eyeing them like hawks. USA must make up their embarassing loss to their most bitter rivals. Since the USA won in Columbus, in February, they are pressuring themselves to pick up a victory despite the odds against them. They also must quell some that say Mexico has regained the
This is a stupid question to ask. Who is the best player of MExico of all time HUGO SANCHEZ or RAFA MARQUEZ? HUGO SANCHEZ: TITLES WON FOR BEST GOAL SCORER • Mexican National Team, Olympic Games of Montreal 1976 • Pumas de la UNAM, Season 1978-1979 (26 GOALS) • Atlético de Madrid, Season 1984-1985 (19 GOALS) • Real Madrid, Season 1985-1986 (22 GOALS) • Real Madrid, Season 1986-1987 (34 GOALS) • Real Madrid, Season 1987-1988 (29 GOALS) • Real Madrid, Season 1989-1990 (38 GOALS) • GOLDEN BOOT OF EUROPE with Real Madrid, Season 1989-1990 (38 GOALS) • Second top goal scorer in the History of Spain Football Hugo Sanchez won 2 Copa del Rey(one with Atletico and Real Madrid), he won the UEFA CUP, 5 LA LIGA with REal MAdrid.(in a row) Rafa Marquez: Champion with Monaco(French League) and Barcelona(Spanish League), runner up with Atlas(Mexican league). Currently, first Mexican to be in a Champions League Final I ask this question because STUPID Fernando Shwartz was saying that R.MARQUEZ is the best player of Mexico(all time), better than HUGOOOOL SANCHEZ. How stupid is that?

Study abroad in Spain or Mexico? I really want to learn Spanish and study abroad in Mexico for one year while I'm still in hs, and then go to a college in Spain (preferably Madrid or Barcelona). How hard is it to get into a Spanish university without being a resident? Let me know anything you know about studying abroad. I'm get good grades and I volunteer at a hospital... Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Why Mexico did not win vs USA in soccer? Because USA had a forward (Donovan) better than Kikin, Borguetti, Omar, Bofo or Cuauhtemoc all together. This game is about to score goals no to play good!. Thats why no any striker from Mexico is playing in Europe. Do you remember Hugo Sanchez in Real Madrid? Every single ball he touched was a GOAL!!
China, Spain or Mexico? If you could take an internship in Nanjing, China; Madrid, Spain; or Monterrey, Mexico, which would you choose and why? People who have lived in any of these cities: what did you like about that particular city?
Who should be in the national team of mexico? ok i liked the team we had vs US, ok so we lost sucks ball, US didnt have such a good game but they took the opportunity when they got it,thats their game right?? not the best but look at italy they sucked but they won in the end. So my opinion is that we need our forward to have balls and step up their game, borgettii always sucked, hes only good with his head, he cant even make a simple pass, and he should of not played becuse he hasnt really played in such a long time, Kikin needs balls, why did he leave?? he neede to prove him self, look a hugo, he struggled his first year, nobody knew him but after 2 years or so he was in Real madrid... so who do you think should be in the national team ??? Borgetti and bofo are out for me, bofo is not a constan player, its the national team only the best right??
I need help on deciding to spend a month in either Spain or Mexico? Is it worth the money? I am going to take some private lessons with Don Quijote for 4 weeks in either Madrid, Spain or Guanajuato, Mexico. The only issue here is money for me. I live in Los Angeles, CA. Prices including classes, round trip ticket, and accomodation( meals and living with host family for 4 weeks). I am preparing to take the Superior exam for DELE (Diploma extranjera de lengua espanola). Mexico: $2550 Spain: $3900 I have never been to Spain and if I stay in Madrid I will also visit nearby cities (Barcelona, Cadiz, Salamanca, Valencia, Alicante, and more). I currently have $3150 now and I make $900 a month. This event will take place in Summer 2012.

spain or mexico?!?!?!? what country do you think is safer to study abroad in? i mean, i know spain is probably more stable..but would i be missing out on anything culture-rich in mexico if i chose spain? i kinda had my heart set on mexico city...... but also madrid and barcelona. i'm not sure. haha. but, i plan on being a spanish teacher, and studying abroad in college at least once. so, any help would be VERY appreciated. gracias ;)
Which is the best place to go to school? I want to majr in Spanish and it requires that I study abroad. Which is better Costa Rica; Madrid, Spain; or Puebla, Mexico; or another area in Mexico (my husband is from Queretaro)? Any one can give me their opinion. Make sure that you tell me why and maybe a suggestion of a school. Personal experiences are always nice. Thanks!
How do I get schedules for bullfighting? I would like to go to a bullfight in Madrid. I know that the largest ring in the world is in Madrid. I have attended the performances in Mixico city and in Maracay Venezuela. The ones in Maracay were extremely well done. Mexico leaves a little to be disired in organization. Not interested in running of the bulls, but I do consider bullfighting more of a art than a sport. Well done by a good Matador is to be compared to a ballet.
What is one club team and national that irritates you the most and why? I am irritated by the arrogance of Man U and Real Madrid as well as the English national team's whining and lack of spirit... Also irritated by Mexico's national team thinking they are good when they never amounted to anything on international scene and have no players in worlds top teams/leagues.
Paris or Madrid to study abroad?? I'm originally from Mexico but I moved to the US for college a couple of years ago, and now I have the opportunity to go study abroad either to Paris or Madrid for six months. I mean, I speak Spanish already (so going to Madrid would probably be a blast!) but I wanna learn French and experience a whole different culture, besides Paris is Paris!!; however, I've heard that Madrid is a super Fun city I don't want to have any kinda language barriers...so What Should I Do?
Where can I find the cheapest airplane tickets to spain? I'm going to Spain on June and I was wondering where i could find the cheapest airplane tickets, either from AZ(Phx) to Spain(Madrid preferably) round trip don't matter how many stops, or from Mexico(Sonora) to Spain since i have a Mexican passport. and any advices you might have come in handy as well, my fist time going to Europe.
when is the last time Becky boy played against a mexican team? being a huge fan of international futbol, i was wondering when was the last time Beckham played against a mexican team? My last recollection was. . .when Pumas won(university of mexico) against Real Madrid (1-0) a couple years ago? am i right? I heard Beckham stayed with a mexican family in Dallas when he was a kid. Now i can see where he got his passing skills.
When traveling to a foreign country, what do you have to do? I recently turned 18, and I'm going to Madrid this summer. The only foreign country I've ever traveled to is Mexico so there's not exactly a big ordeal when switching countries.. I'm a little nervous about what exactly you have to do as far as passport, etc.
Mexico and their " Foreign Legion " , who is their best player ?? What do you think about the International Players from Mexico : Rafael Marquez ( Barcelona , Spain ) Guille Franco ( Villareal , Spain ) Jared Borgetti ( Bolton Wonderers , England ) also there are rumors about : Oswaldo Sanchez ( Atletico de Madrid ) , and Carlos Salcido ( Chelsea ) . Also Claudio Suarez ( Chivas USA )
Viva Mexico! Rijkaard for DT? Rijkaard's last statement at today's press conference in Barca: Viva Mexico! Visca Catalunya! Aguirre is probably going to renew with Atletic Madrid. Rijkaard is available... he really likes Gio, Rafa... and is sympathetic to Mexico. He plays the way we like to say El Tri play... and has solid, first rate experience. What do you think? http://www.mediotiempo.com/noticia.php?id_noticia=57046 Aguirre has an automatic Contract Renewal clause with Atletico Madrid dependant on qualitying for the Champions League... he can't get out of it (without paying back alot of money)... unless the team consents. Eddie... Rijkaard didn't do anything for Barca... he just won two Leagues, a Champions, and a Spanish Cup in 5 years... that is all.
Atletico Madrid will play against 4 Mexican teams this Pre-Season? Atletico will play in Mexico 4 games against Mexican teams from the 13th to the 23rd of July. The only player that will be missing from Atletico will be Sergio "El Kun" Aguero due to him being in the Summer Olympics at Beijing. The games will take place like this: July 13: Atletico Madrid VS. Puebla in Estadio Cuauhtemoc. July 16: Atletico Madrid VS. Cruz Azul in Estadio Azul. July 19: Atletico Madrid VS. Tigres in Estadio Universitario. July 23: Atletico Madrid VS. Toluca in Estadio Nemesio Diez. What do you guys think as preseason for these teams? I really think Chivas VS. Atletico and America VS. Atletico in the Azteca and Jalisco respectively would be very good games for both teams and also real fun to watch. Another one for Atletico against Pachuca would be worth watching also. http://www.clubatleticodemadrid.com/es/atleticoaldia/noticias.asp?id=21920

Is anybody else DISGUSTED by Atletico Madrid right now? Enrique Cerezo is an idiot! Let's face it! Since Atletico was promoted to La Liga. Aguirre has been the best coach Atletico Madrid have had in a long time!! And i mean LONG! None of the big names like Aragones and Bianchi could do what Aguirre did. He took a team like Atletico Madrid to the Champions league and challanged the top teams in Spain. Aguirre turned them into a midtable team to a CL capable team. Aguirre had to cope with the exit of their best striker Torres. He has gone through big money signings which the directiva of Atletico had no sense in buying, and this is how they thank him? By firing him in the middle of the season? I hope this is all but a big lie. If he did get fired... i mean wow and VIVA MEXICO! haha @Al: yeah i agree but it is not the right way to do it. In that case Arsenal should had fired Wenger a long time ago. All i am saying is i am not liking the way things are done in Atletico right now. Idk if its Cerezo's fault or somebody else's but from what i have seen. It is not Aguirre's fault. Instead of wasting money on their crappy defensive line. They wasted it on a crappy goalie and other players that werent needed much. Not only that but they loaned out young stars like Jurado. The only thing i blame Aguirre for is the discipline problem the team has @Al : your right about the press thing haha but i heard Real might be lining up to pick him up if we ever do haha but idk it could possibly be cultural. You never know. I know some of the fans were asking for Aguirre to quit and for Cerezo to resign. I think at the end of the day the players will be the most affected. Like i just read, the problem is their crappy defending. They have Simao and Maxi doing great in the attack but they arent the best defenders when it comes to defending. Their midfield cant handle it. On top of that, their defensive line is unstable and they have 2 crappy "world class" goalkeepers @Valencianista: i am talking about his second stint at Atletico Madrid when he only lasted like year or 2
Why do people think USA is better than Mexico in soccer (footbal)? I understand that usa has won the recent games but how come they dont have the guts to play outside of the USA? how many world class players does the usa have that have played or do play with world class teams such as Barcelona and Real Madrid? and dont say tim howard. I dont think any american player has ever won the champions league... Mexico has around 5 players in world class teams such as barca they have Rafa marquez and Dos santos and they have 2 more in stutgart who won the bundesliga. the only american players in european soccer other than Adu are getting regulated.. from the premier league
How many more times are we going to see this? GO MEXICO!!!? http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/photo?slug=getty-fbl-copam07-match_04-bra-mex_11_07_00_pm&prov=getty Isn't soccer the best. How many more times are we going to see a Barcelona player (Rafael Marquez) hug a Real Madrid player (Robinho). Congrats to both teams. No Bela I did not know your dads name was Rafael but what can I say the best are always named Rafael....just kidding
